Mail items may be deleted directly from the main window by selecting an item or items in the InBox and clicking on the “Delete” button.  To toggle a single item between selected and unselected, hold the  “Shift” key down as you click on it.  When the “Delete” button is clicked on, confirmation will be requested and then all selected mail will be deleted. If you do not want confirmation when deleting mail, hold down the option key when you click on the delete button.
